Gabe

Gabriel Castaneda was born a drummer. Ever since he was little, he would sit by the stage at live music shows and watch the drummer in the band. Soon enough, it turned into his passion in life. He started on a small muppet drum set and worked his way through middle school and high school, playing in the school bands. He decided he wanted to pursue his passion further and continued his musical education in college, earning a bachelor’s degree in music education from Stephen F. Austin State University. He has been playing professionally since 2001 with various bands around the San Antonio area. Most notable bands have been Texas Tide, Backhand Betty and The Feral Cats. He also plays percussion for the San Pedro Presbyterian Church. He is well known and respected in the San Antonio music community.
